Didier Marien has been an antique dealer since 1987, and he is also an expert and member of the European Chamber of Expert-Conseil in Works of Art (CECOA).
In 1995, he bought the Boccara Gallery and developed it into different paths, particularly by introducing a collection of modern tapestries and developing a branch of contemporary silk rugs.
In 2000, he had created Boccara Design and developed a line of artistic rugs. Since then he has opened galleries in major art capitals such as New York, Moscow, London, and Paris.
He is not only the owner of one of the largest collection of antique and modern tapestries and luxurious silk rugs but also has been recognized as one of the best experts and merchants in this domain.
Didier Marien has developed an innovative concept merging pieces of antiques and contemporary art. The “Boccara Design Silk Rug†collection is regarded as the avant-garde design and has attracted the interest of many collectors and decorators worldwide.
Boccara Art is its latest department which contains modern and contemporary sculptures has complemented its textile collections with the masterpieces of Wang Keping, Jean-François Gambino, Nicola Rosini, etc.
