Steppes Hill Farm Antiques
Steppes Hill Farm Antiques was founded by William (Billy) Buck over fifty years ago. Twenty years later he was joined in the business by his eldest son, David. Billy’s first love is early English porcelain, but he also specialises in collectable silver. David concentrates on the silver side and is responsible for the web site.
Their stock encompasses early English porcelain from 1745, including Chelsea, Bow, Worcester, Longton Hall and Lowestoft through to Regency porcelain from the Worcester, Spode, Derby, Nantgarw and Swansea factories up to about 1830.
In silver their specialties are collectors’ items including wine labels, caddy spoons, snuff boxes, vinaigrettes, Vesta cases, card cases, as well as Scottish and Irish silver.
Over the years Steppes Hill Farm has been privileged to have formed a number of well-known private collections of both ceramics and silver. As well as building friendly long term personal relationships with clients, they also regard the academic approach as all important.
We have been members of The British Antique Dealers’ Association since 1976, and Billy has been Country Vice President and Regional Representative for the South East and has served on the Council of the association.
